Overview
The Accounting Career Awareness Program (ACAP) is a highly regarded summer program designed to introduce high school students to careers in accounting, finance, and business. Hosted by the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA), ACAP combines a one-week immersive college campus experience with ongoing mentorship and professional development opportunities.
During the program, students live on a college campus and participate in a structured schedule of workshops, case studies, and group projects focused on real-world business concepts. Participants gain exposure to fields such as accounting, economics, technology, and entrepreneurship while also developing financial literacy and interpersonal skills.
In addition to classroom learning, students engage with industry professionals, tour companies, and build connections with peers and mentors. The program is fully sponsored—covering tuition, housing, meals, and materials—making it an accessible and high-value opportunity.
ACAP is ideal for students interested in business careers and looking for an early, competitive edge in college and future internships.
