The Goodwin Living Summer Internship Program offers high school students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the senior living and healthcare field. Based in Alexandria, Virginia, Goodwin Living is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization that has been named a Top Workplace in the Washington, DC region by The Washington Post since 2019 and recognized nationally by USA Today.

This 8-week internship allows students to explore different departments within the organization while building professional and interpersonal skills. Interns can work in areas such as Life Enrichment—where they help plan and lead activities for residents—or Facilities Management, supporting the maintenance of campus grounds.

The program emphasizes mentorship and professional growth. Interns are paired with resident mentors and participate in workshops led by organizational leadership. With a strong focus on diversity, inclusion, and personal development, this internship is ideal for students interested in healthcare, community service, or working with older adults.
