Internship Description
Internship Title: Standard Internship

Eligibility: At least 16 years old and attending or recently graduated from high school, college, or graduate school; must be a Maryland resident
Application Deadline: Applications are accepted during set windows each year — Fall: May 15–June 15; Spring: October 15–November 16; Summer: March 1–March 31
Program Dates: 8 weeks, 10 hours per week, for a total of 80 hours
Overview
The Standard Internship places students with the Maryland State Police to help them achieve their academic and career goals while supporting the Department. Interns work within one of MSP's four Bureaus — the Office of the Superintendent, Field Operations Bureau, Criminal Investigations Bureau, or Support Services Bureau — in a role matching their field of study.
Interns gain hands-on experience with police operations and the criminal justice system.
