Overview
The U.S. Senate Page Program is a prestigious opportunity that allows high school students to work directly in the legislative branch of the federal government. Senate pages assist senators and staff with day-to-day operations on the Senate floor while gaining firsthand exposure to the legislative process in Washington, DC.
Pages work as employees of the Senate and help deliver legislative materials, carry messages between offices, prepare the Senate Chamber for sessions, and support senators during debates and votes. The program provides a unique opportunity to observe how laws are debated and passed while working alongside congressional staff.
Students selected for the semester program live in Washington, DC and attend the United States Senate Page School in the early morning before beginning their workday in the Senate. The experience combines academics with professional responsibilities and requires strong time management, discipline, and commitment.
